Are Warrants Risky?

When you hear the word 'warrants', what do you think?

• Too risky?

• Not for me?

• I don't understand them

• I need more information

• I'm a conservative investor, why would I be interested?

As with many things in life once we have the knowledge (which you can now get in our Learning Center) we believe you too will be excited about the opportunities that warrants offer.

We can understand your skepticism as many of our current subscribers previously were just like you but as they learned more about warrants they soon realized warrants are a great addition to one's portfolio.

Some investors may consider warrants as speculation, but then what is speculation?  Ask two or more different brokers, teachers or analysts and you will probably get differing opinions.  For many investors, the difference is the time horizon of the purchaser.  We would submit a warrant with a life of 1 year or less to be a speculative tool, while a warrant with a remaining life in excess of 2 years (long-term warrant) would be described as an investment.

Actually, we believe that long-term warrants are no riskier than actually purchasing the underlying common shares.  Too limit your dollar exposure (thus risk) just purchase the warrants which cost less than the common shares.
