Options and Futures Traders
Welcome to my website, PreciousMetalsWarrants.com which I started in
March 2005, basically as a database of warrants trading on the
natural resources shares in the United States and Canada.
Many of you are
speculators in the commodities markets and may find interesting that
the warrants in my database are on companies in the commodities and
natural resource sector and include agricultural funds, gold,
silver, zinc, copper, coal, moly, oil & gas, uranium and more….
This is Dudley
Pierce Baker, owner/editor and I am confident that your knowledge of
options and futures will serve as a solid foundation and allow for
an easy introduction into my world of warrants.
Briefly, if you
are not familiar with warrants, they have been around since the
1920’s but few individual investors as well as professionals have
taken the time to understand them and to utilize the leverage
and time that warrants offer. With the introduction of
options in the 1980’s virtually all of the education and advertising
has been directed to options by the investment community, brokerage
firms and option advisors.
With your
interest in options and futures, I am confident that you will
quickly grasp the concepts and potential uses of warrants in your
investment strategies. So, allow me to share some of the basics of
warrants.
Warrants are
securities which are issued by a company, usually in connection with
a financial arrangement, debt issuance or initial public offering,
giving the holder the right, but not the obligation to purchase the
underlying shares at a specific price and expiring on a specific
date in the future. Many warrants issued by companies are in
connection with private placements and thus they will never trade.
Warrants which we follow are those which are trading and which have
an assigned symbol, allowing them to be traded in the Canadian
markets or in the United States.
There are many
warrants in our database which currently have a remaining life until
expiration of over 3 years and one expires in June 2017. As with
options, we are looking for leverage but with warrants we have much
more time and thus time becomes our friend.
For subscribers,
I now provide a separate database for options & LEAPS trading on the natural resource and commodity companies saving you
literally hours of time in research on the CBOE (Chicago
Board Option Exchange).
Take a look at
some
recent examples of the opportunities of trading warrants, two of
which are my personal trades which generated gains of over 1,000%.
With this very
brief overview, I trust you see the possibilities that warrants can
provide to increase your investment gains and strategies and welcome
you to spend some time in our
Learning Center, if necessary, to address more of your
questions.
